Here’s What You Need to Know About the Upcoming End-of-Course Assessments

Hillsboro will be conducting mandatory state testing during the third and fourth weeks of April. These end-of-course (EOC) tests are intended to measure academic growth in a particular content area and will count for 10% of the final grade for the semester for each class.

This year’s testing schedule is as follows:

Monday, 4/17: US History (Part 1), English I (Part 1), English II (Part 1)
Tuesday, 4/18: English I (Parts 2,3,4), English II (Parts 2, 3, 4)
Wednesday, 4/19: ACT (all 11th graders), Biology
Thursday, 4/20: Chemistry
Friday, 4/21: English III (Part 1)
Monday, 4/24: Integrated Math 1 (Parts 1, 2, 3)
Tuesday, 4/25: Integrated Math 2 (Parts 1, 2, 3), English III (Parts 2, 3, 4)
Wednesday, 4/26: Algebra II (Parts 1, 2, 3)
Thursday, 4/27: US History (Parts 2 and 3)
Friday, 4/28: General makeup day

IB and AP exams will be administered in May.

Students taking EOC tests need to be aware of the state’s policies and expectations around the testing environment, student behavior, and access to electronic devices. These are outlined in the letter from Dr. Pelham linked below.
