Burro Blitz (Back-to-School Orientation)
Mark your calendars for Burro Blitz on Friday, August 1st. 9th and 10th graders and families come between 9:30 and 11:30 AM; 11th and 12th graders and families come between 12:45 and 2:45 PM. Students can pick up schedules, meet teachers and admin, get laptops, request parking passes and lockers, and more! Families can update contact info, sign annual MNPS forms, meet teachers and admin, volunteer with the PTSO, and buy HHS merch!
Save the Date!
On Thursday, July 24, come join the whole Hillsboro community–including families from all of our awesome feeder schools–at the first annual Hillsboro Cluster Kick-Off! Watch kickball games between staff from our cluster schools, engage with community resources, grab dinner from some delicious food trucks, get information about PTOs, and meet fellow cluster families. We can’t wait to see everyone!
Burro Golf Team
Interested in joining the HIllsboro golf team? Conditioning happens in July, and tryouts are the first week of school. Click HERE to get all the details and to submit an interest survey and get yourself on Coach Claassen and Coach Humphrey’s radar! Summer Reading and Assignments

Wanting some new Hillsboro swag for your rising freshman? Or your favorite alum? Or you? There are new designs in our online spiritwear store. Check them out HERE! (And check back often: there are sales every week!)
A Little Light Bookkeeping
Is your subscription to the PTSO newsletter up to date? If you have multiple kids at Hillsboro, and one of them just graduated, make sure your other kid’s class is selected so you’ll keep getting the news. If you have a new 9th grader starting this fall, you’ll need to add them to your subscription so you will get any targeted news just for 9th grade families. Now is the perfect time to check and/or update your subscription status. Just scroll to the bottom of this email and click “update your preferences.” This will take you to a page where you will click “Email Me A Link.” Once you receive the email, you can follow that link and scroll to the section that says “Select Your Group(s) for 2025-26” From there, you can choose whatever group(s) you want to receive emails for. You can also choose your student’s academy, but the most important thing is to make sure your student’s class is selected!
