Burro Bash!
On Friday, August 22, we will have our back-to-school party, Burro Bash, which will also serve as a tailgate before the football game that evening. The bash will be from 4:30 to 6:30 PM, and kickoff for the game is at 7:00. There will be a clubs fair, games, and other fun surprises, so be sure to come out!

Parents. this event is a bit of a heavy lift. If you can help out, please click below to sign up for a shift.

IBCP Parent Meeting
Parents of current or prospective IBCP students, make plans to attend an informational meeting about the IB Career-Related Programme at Hillsboro this Monday, August 18, at 6:00 PM in the library. The IBDP meeting last week was very informative (slides are HERE), and this one is sure to be as well, so don’t miss it! Questions about CP or DP? Back to School Open House/Meet the Teachers Night
Hillsboro’s Back to School Open House is coming up on Tuesday, August 19, from 5 to 7 PM. This is your chance to pop into each of your kid’s classrooms and learn a bit about what they are doing during the school day. You can also pick up some Hillsboro merch.

Bring a copy of your child’s schedule if you can get your hands on one (snap a picture on your phone) or make sure you have access to Infinite Campus to find their schedule there. We can’t wait to see everyone!

August PTSO Meeting
Please make plans to attend our first PTSO meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 26, at 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. Attending these meetings regularly gives you a chance to meet and chat with other parents, learn what is happening at school, and get facetime with attending admin and faculty!

Cookie Fridays Are Back!
This year, we will be carrying on the tradition of giving out cookies to the students on Fridays during lunch for the “price” of telling us something good about their day. Handing out cookies is a great way to get to know the students, and if you can’t come during the day, donating cookies/treats is a great way to help ensure that this beloved Burro tradition can continue! Student Involvement at Hillsboro
The time to get involved in a club or sport is NOW! Information about cross country and swimming can be found below. Most teams and clubs will have a table at Burro Bash; you’ll be amazed at the number and variety of opportunities available to your student! There’s also a page on the PTSO website listing upcoming auditions, tryouts, and interest meetings. Check it out HERE.

Hillsboro XC
Come join the cross country team! All student runners must have a current physical, and practice is Monday through Thursday, 2:15-3:30. Follow the team on Instagram @hillsboro_xctf and contact Coach Guice with questions @coachguice.

Greece Is Calling!
Mrs. Banks and Ms. Plumb will be leading a trip to Greece in May 2027. If your student is interested in going on this fabulous trip, please make plans to attend the interest meeting on Monday, August 25, at 6:00 PM in the library. Click HERE to RSVP.
