Important Info About Green Hills Library Lot

The Green Hills Branch Library is closed for a full renovation. While the parking lot is currently available as a student pick up and drop off point, it will be fenced off before construction begins sometime in mid-February to early March. Families using the parking lot should make plans for alternative meeting points. For more information on the renovation, please visit the library’s website HERE.

District Schedule Changes

Due to the recent winter storm closures, Progress Reports will be issued on Tuesday, February 10, instead of the originally scheduled date of Thursday, February 5. Also, Monday, February 16, will be a regular day of instruction for students. This date previously was designated as a professional development day for teachers and staff, but students will report to school as usual on this day.

Looking Ahead to Next Year’s PTSO

Parents, our PTSO helps make Hillsboro the amazing school that it is. We are so grateful to all the parents who volunteer to help out, whether it’s once a semester or every week! Please consider being part of the PTSO board next year. It’s such a fantastic way to get connected with the school and stay informed about what is going on. Click HERE to fill out a survey and share what you are interested in doing!

Coming Home

The Coming Home basketball game is tonight! Come out, help us crown our Coming Home king, and cheer on the Burros as they take on Cane Ridge. Get your tickets ahead of time by clicking HERE!

Registration Nights

On Tuesday, February 10, there will be an Academy & Program Showcase for rising 9th graders and their families beginning at 5:00 PM, followed by a presentation and course registration for those who are zoned for/planning to attend Hillsboro next year. Then on February 17, we will have the rescheduled registration night for rising 10th-12th graders. Please make plans to join us!

Spring Semester Fundraisers

Mark your calendars for these upcoming Hillsboro PTSO fundraisers! Thanks so much to these businesses for supporting Hillsboro:

  • Green Hills Grille on Monday, March 2
  • Sage Refill Market on Saturday, April 18

Volunteer Needs

  • Workers are needed for concessions AND spirit wear sales during every home basketball game. Please click HERE and sign up for a shift if you can! If you are the parent of a Hillsboro athlete, your volunteer shift counts toward PTSO support of your child’s sport (senior banners, access to Burro athletic funds if needed). Hot tip: corral a few of your friends and sign up to work a shift together!

  • Can you bake/purchase and/or hand out cookies and treats at the Friday Cookie Table during lunch this semester? Click HERE to sign up for a shift or to donate a batch or two of treats. Handout slots fill up quickly, but we always need more cookies, so please consider donating to keep this beloved Hillsboro tradition going strong!

  • We need parents to help give Saturday tours of Hillsboro over the next few months. Sign up HERE if you can help us show off this awesome place! There are always student tour guides who generally do much of the talking, so it’s truly not a difficult job, just a great way to get more connected to and familiar with the school!

Greece Trip 2027

Do you have the travel bug? If so, consider joining Burro students and teachers in Greece in May of 2027. Please contact Mrs. Banks (lesa.banks@mnps.org) if you are interested.
