Volunteer Needs
URGENT! Parent volunteers are needed to help monitor students during IB testing. Every slot that is not filled by a parent must be filled by a teacher, which means that teacher has to leave the building for all or part of the day…and their class will have a sub. So let’s help out our teachers (and our students, who prefer their teachers to be PRESENT!) and fill the spots HERE on the sign up. This is an easy job that mainly consists of quietly watching students as they take their exams. If you have time during the day (even if you aren’t a parent of a student who is currently testing), please consider taking a shift or two.
Can you bake/purchase and/or hand out cookies and treats at the Friday Cookie Table during lunch this semester? Click HERE to sign up for a shift or to donate a batch or two of treats. Handout slots fill up quickly, but we always need more cookies, so please consider donating to keep this beloved Hillsboro tradition going strong!
We need parents to help give Saturday tours of Hillsboro—not just for the last tour this semester, but also for next year and beyond. If you’ve never given a tour before, it’s easy and rewarding. Mostly, you’ll just be sharing your family’s experience at Hillsboro, which prospective parents find really helpful. Why not sign up to shadow one of our veteran tour guides on March 28 (click HERE)? You can also email ptso@wearehillsboro.com for more information.
